Some 1,000 residential units will be developed in Taman Tun Sardon in Penang in the next few years. Bukit Gelugor Umno division chairman Senator Datuk Omar Faudzar said recently:
“The two blocks belonging to the Home Ministry which used to be occupied by the police are now in a dilapidated state and have become a haunt for drug addicts. “The blocks will be demolished to make way for a block of 193 units and preference will be given to children of the current residents at Taman Tun Sardon,” he said at the launching ceremony of repainting and drainage repair works at 27 flats in Taman Tun Sardon.
